A 3/4 ton stock G Series (Before the Express) Chev van measures 6′11″ - I know because mine barely slides under the garage door! Most tops are no higher than 8″. So 7′7″ is a pretty good guestimate. Of course if there are anntena’s, roof racks, etc. this could vary a bit.
I don’t know if you’ll find any info here but it’s worth a shot. You could write one of the manufacturers on this list:
I wish I could tell you who the upfitter was for the Mark III.
